It felt wrong to him.

A man alleged that he was molested by a doctor during a rectal examination at Singapore General Hospital (SGH).

Stomper Leo said he had ended up in the hospital after a fall in the toilet at home on March 16.

He was warded in Block 6 at SGH.

On March 20 evening, he called a nurse as he was not feeling well. The Stomper had a headache and giddiness, which caused his vision to be blurry. The nurse alerted a doctor.

"Later on, I heard a male voice calling my surname," recounted the Stomper.

"I replied with my eyes closed, 'Yes, I am! May I know who is calling me? Who is there?'"

The doctor introduced himself by his surname and said he was there to check on the Stomper.

The Stomper continued: "Then he proceeded to ask me stupid questions. 'Why are you admitted to the hospital? I heard you complain you got diarrhoea and blood in your stool.'

"I replied: 'No, I do not have diarrhoea. I have constipation. I only passed out a lot of mucus but no stool, followed by some blood.'

"I questioned this doctor, 'Why didn't you go to the nurses' station to ask the nurses and check my medical record from the hospital computer system?' I was so angry with him that he didn't even ask a nurse about my problem and straight away came to check on me and ask me stupid questions.

"I asked him, 'May I know your full name besides your surname?' He kept quiet, no reply from him.

"I told him, 'I cannot open my eyes. The lights are hurting both my eyes and my vision is spinning when I open my eyes.' He called the nurse to switch off all the lights in the room and closed all the curtains around my bed tightly.

"He did not let any nurse assist him examining me.

"After a few minutes, he started to untie the knot of my blue hospital pants. His behaviour was very nervous and he could not untie my pants. He asked me, 'Who tied the pants for you?' I answered, 'I tied the knot myself. It is very easy to untie.' I showed him how to untie the knot and loosened my pants.

"Then he started using both his hands to touch my whole tummy. Suddenly, he pulled down my pants and used two hands to touch my groin. I felt a bit strange.

"He asked me to turn to the right side, facing him. I said. "Do you know which side is right and left or not?' I barely opened my eyes and saw his wicked eyes, wearing spectacles and looking like a psycho. His hair was not combed properly, letting his fringe fall on his forehead. At that moment, I felt a bit scared.

"He said, 'Turn your face to the left and your backside facing me.' I followed his instructions. A few seconds later, he asked me to pull down my pants and bend both my knees forward with my backside facing him.

"He then used two fingers to poke inside my anus for around one or two minutes. I noticed the way he checked my anus was different from other doctors. At the time, I felt that I was being molested.

"After he finished checking my anus, he kept completely quiet. I called out to him, 'Are you there or not? Am I talking to the air or ghost?' He did not respond to me at all.

"I started to worry and tried to open both my eyes to look. I saw him on the right side of my bed, just standing there and writing something on a piece of paper. He then went away without me noticing.

"Later on, I felt that I was a victim in a molest case."

The Stomper informed a nurse and told her he was calling the police

"She asked me not to make the call. Wait until tomorrow and she would ask her senior sister and the Office of Patient Experience to come and talk to me," said the Stomper, who called the police the next day.

"Three police officers came to SGH Block 6 to interview me. One of them informed me that the doctor who molested me was off duty and not around in the hospital.

"The police officer said that he needed to wait for the doctor to come back to work to interview him and investigate the incident."

On March 29, the Stomper posted about the incident in the comments of an unrelated .

In response to a Stomp query, the police confirmed a report was lodged, adding that they are looking into the matter.

The hospital's Acting Head of the Department of Internal Medicine, Dr Lim Wan Tin, told Stomp: “We are aware of the feedback and allegations by the patient who had made a police report.

"We seek the public’s understanding that we are unable to share specific details during this time to protect the integrity of the investigation.”

On March 22, the Stomper was transferred to Outram Community Hospital next to SGH.

While he was there, he called the police again on March 25.

The Stomper said it was because hospital staff members prevented him from leaving to buy bread and Axe Brand Universal Oil, make a deposit at an ATM, look for his medical social worker and go to the Office of Patient Experience to lodge a complaint.
