We were born in the 40's-50's-60's.

We grew up in the 50's-60's-70's.

We studied in the 60's-70's-80's.

We were dating in the 70's-80's-90's.

We got married and discovered the world in the 70's-80's-90's.

We ventured into the 80's-90's.

We stabilized in the 2000's.

We got wiser in the 2010's.

And we are going firmly and strongly through the 2020's.

Turns out we've lived through *EIGHT* different decades...

TWO different centuries...

TWO different millennia...

We have gone from the telephone with an operator for long-distance calls to video calls to anywhere in the world, we have gone from slides to YouTube, from vinyl records to online music, from handwritten letters to email and WhatsApp.

From live matches on the radio, to black and white TV, and then to HD TV.
 
We went to the Video Club and now we watch Netflix.

 We got to know the first computers, punched cards, diskettes and now we have gigabytes and megabytes in hand on our cell phones or IPads.
 
We wore shorts throughout our childhood and then long pants, oxfords, Bermuda shorts, etc.

We dodged infantile paralysis, meningitis, H1N1 flu and now, even the controversial COVID-19.

We rode tricycles,   bicycles, skates, invented cars, mopeds, gasoline or diesel cars and now we ride hybrids or 100% electric.

Yes, we've been through a lot but what a great life we've had!

They could describe us as “exennials”- people who were born in that world of the fifties, who had an analog childhood and a digital adulthood.

We're kind of "Yah, seen-it-all."

Our generation has literally lived through and witnessed more than any other in every dimension of life.

It is our generation that has literally adapted to “CHANGE”.

A big round of applause to all the members of a very special generation, which will be UNIQUE. 

TIME DOES NOT STOP

"Life is a task that we brought ourselves to do at home.

When you look... it's already six in the afternoon;  When you look... it's already Friday;  When you look... the month is over, When you look... the year is over;  When you look... 50, 60 and 70 years have passed!
When you look... we no longer know where our friends are.
When you look... we lost the love of our life and now, it's too late to go back.

Do not stop doing something you like due to lack of time.  Do not stop having someone by your side, because your children will soon not be yours, and you will have to do something with that remaining time, where the only thing that we are going to miss will be the space that can only be enjoyed with the old, usual friends.  That time that, unfortunately, never returns.

The day is today!
*WE ARE NO LONGER AT AN AGE WHERE AND WHEN WE CAN AFFORD TO POSTPONE ANYTHING.*

 I went shopping at Cold Storage NEX  just now. There was a boy, aged about 12 years old, who came to me with a cart full of goods. He said he lost his mother and wanted to call his mother by phone. Naturally, I wanted to help this little friend, so I went with him to find a staff at the cashier's office to help him call his mother.

Who would have thought that this little boy answered like an adult, saying that he just wanted to borrow my mobile phone to call his mother and didn't want to ask the manager for help. I felt even more strange at this time, and said, "Why don't you ask for help from the staff?   Why do you want to find a stranger to help you?"  Sorry, I can't lend you my phone.
The little boy did not panicked at all, and he was pushing the car forward,  looking for the next target.
In a society sympathetic to the disadvantaged, there are always people who are deceived.   It turns out that if you lend your phone to the boy,  he will dial a number to a hacker terminal and your phone is completely controlled by the hacker.  The access data of the phone is completely stolen, you are blackmailed, and the nightmare begins‼️  ️
          
 *This is too dangerous. They arec using children and people's sympathy.* So, when you encounter such incident, notify the store to pay attention, or best is to call the police!!

Bible says that God sent His one and only Son to fix our broken relationship with Him that was destroyed by sins so that we may receive forgiveness and be reconciled back with Him. 
On the cross of crucifixion, I see God’s sacrificial love when He sent His one and only Son to give his life as the final passover lamb for the atonement of my sins. God’s love is not dependent on anything I have done, but it is all about what God has done for me – He loved me even when I was a sinner. Jesus’ crucifixion on the cross is the absolute proof and reminder to me that God loves me unconditionally. Thank You, Jesus, for dying on the cross for my sins so that I may receive love, mercy and forgiveness. I love you Jesus and I surrender my life to you as my Saviour and Redeemer.

A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They had everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art..
 
When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son.
 
About a month later, just before Christmas,
 
There was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands..
 
He said, 'Sir, you don't know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly... He often talked about you, and your love for art.' The young man held out this package. 'I know this isn't much. I'm not really a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this.'
 
The father
 
Opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture.. 'Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It's a gift.'
 
The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came to his home he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected.
 
The man died a few months later. There was to be a great auction of his paintings. Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection.
 
On the platform sat the painting of the son. The auctioneer pounded his gavel. 'We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this picture?'
 
There was silence...
 
Then a voice in the back of the room shouted, 'We want to see the famous paintings. Skip this one.'
 
But the auctioneer persisted 'Will somebody bid for this painting? Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?'
Another voice angrily. 'We didn't come to see this painting. We came to see the Van Gogh's, the Rembrandts. Get on with the Real bids!'
 
But still the auctioneer continued. 'The son! The son! Who'll take the son?'
Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the longtime gardener of the man and his son. 'I'll give $10 for the painting...' Being a poor man, it was all he could afford.
 
'We have $10, who will bid $20?'
'Give it to him for $10. Let's see the masters.'
 
The crowd was becoming angry They didn't want the picture of the son.
 
They wanted the more worthy investments for their collections.
 
The auctioneer pounded the gavel.. 'Going once, twice, SOLD for $10!'
 
A man sitting on the second row shouted, 'Now let's get on with the collection!'
 
The auctioneer laid down his gavel. 'I'm sorry, the auction is over.'
 
'What about the paintings?'
 
'I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will... I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time. Only the painting of the son would be auctioned. Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings.
 
The man who took the son gets everything!'
 
God gave His son over 2,000 years ago to die on the Cross. Much like the auctioneer, His message today is: 'The Son, the Son, who'll take the Son?'
 
Because, you see, whoever takes the Son gets everything!

There was a coup in Philippines to overthrow Marcos Senior. Marcos family exiled to Hawaii. They carried cash of US$700 million + $200 million worth of stocks + boxes of gold & jewels. It took US customs hours to record their carry-on luggage.

When in Hawaii, Marcos Sr bought land from 8 houses in the neighborhood. Demolished the houses to make 1 for himself & family.

Wife of Marcos Sr left 3000 pairs of brand-name shoes in Philippines.

After they have fled, Filipinos sued Marcos family for corruption & assassination of his political opposition leader. The then US president Reagan let US court to investigate into Marcos' scam & corruption.

Marcos Sr died & Marcos Junior (current Philippines president) takes over.

When US court asked Marcos Jr to appear in court, somebody helped Marcos to return to Philippines, without appearing in court. Hence, US court issued a contempt order of US$353 million.

how much is Marcos Senior's estate

In Oct 2012, a US Court of Appeals upheld the judgment against Marcos for violating an injunction that barred Marcos Jr to dissipate the assets of the estate. USA has frozen US$2 billion.

Marcos Jr is selfish. For his own interest, he damages Philippines’ economy by losing trade with China. He put his country at risk in a China-USA war where Philippines will become a ruin like Ukraine.

Marcos should stay low key in Philippines without competing for presidency or any official position. So as to prevent US blackmailing.

Now a year into his presidency, he faces domestic unrest & possible a coup due to loss of Chinese business & thus bad economy.

He also faces threat from USA to overthrow him if he does not take US order to confront China.

Marcos should give up his inheritance in USA. A few more million dollars wont let him live any better. But trade with China will help millions of Filipinos to live better. There is a large number of Filipinos working as domestic helpers in other countries - a proof that Philippines' economy is so bad that there are not enough jobs.

Militarily, Philippines’ coast guard boats & warships cannot match with China. Why not focus on economic development instead, so as to benefit more Filipinos?

China is willing to share fishery & undersea oil/gas in overlapping waters. A 3-year-old knows it is a win-win situation for disputing countries. Why does Marcos not see it? The only explanation is his personal interest eg his US court orders & fortune in USA.

Yesterday, l consulted my doctor at his clinic. After learning that l just retired recently, the doctor gave me the following health advices.

1) You must walk more often.

German scientists dug 50 meters down in the ground and discovered small pieces of copper.
After studying these pieces for a long time, Germany announced that the ancient Germans 25,000 years ago had a nation-wide telephone copper wire network.

The Russian government was not that easily impressed. They ordered their own scientists to dig even deeper. 100 meters down they found small pieces of glass.
They soon announced that 35,000 years ago, the ancient Russians already had a nationwide fiber optics network.

The Malaysian govt decided that they also Boleh. They dug 50 meters, found nothing. 100 meters also nothing.
200 meters underground, they still found absolutely nothing. They thought for a while, then happily announced that
Malaysia 50,000 years ago had already gone wireless!!

 What have we gained from America's 20-year push for democracy around the world?  Over the past two decades, we have vigorously promoted democracy as an international policeman and a democracy fighter.  With guns and dollars, we Americans have taken down Saddam Hussein in Iraq, Gaddafi in Libya, Syria, Egypt, Ukraine, Turkey, and Greece in 20 years.  Ask what we Americans got.  Our businessmen dare not go to the Middle East and Africa to do business, they dare not fly the national flag in the Brazil Olympics, and as long as they admit that they are Americans in the oil-producing regions of the Middle East, it is a direct act of death.  Offended Putin, offended the EU, offended China.  The United States controls high technology, and we can't do China in international trade. We have to abandon the WTO to engage in TPP. Look at what China has achieved in the past 20 years.  Not only did they take away our No. 1 spot in the WTO, they also bought 80 percent of the world's steel, 40 percent of oil and gas, 70 percent of soybeans, and 80 percent of copper.  And gold, bought Ukrainian aircraft carriers, Israeli missiles, German machine tools and French wine.  It's all fucking bought in dollars.  They bought our food, sold us spicy strips and instant noodles, bought our steel, sold us bikini panties.  Bought our oil, sold us toys.  This is not the main thing. China now uses the US dollar as a guarantee for the internationalization of the renminbi. Even if the renminbi is worthless, it can be exchanged for US dollars immediately. Everyone knows that they have a lot of US dollars, more than us.  Damn, Africa was taken away by them, and that's what happened to us.  I absolutely don't support Obama's TPP, I want to make Democratic Obama and Hillary the biggest idiots in American history.  I am your next president, please support me, we will be honorable and independent, whoever has the money will do business with whom, and we will live a good life.  In the past 20 years, the suicide rate in rural China has dropped by 90%, the illiteracy rate has dropped to less than 10%, life expectancy has increased byl more than 10 years, private cars have never been in traffic jams nationwide, high-speed rail accounts for 70% of the world, and soon 500,000 people  All cities have high-speed rail links, and highways are connected to more than 2,000 counties. The longest bridge in the world, the tallest bridge, the most difficult bridge, and the Chinese people don’t take it seriously. The Chinese people are rich in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen.  New York, which is about to catch up with ours, is going to get divorced and scrambled. Chinese people are anxious about which country they don’t travel to. If the Chinese don’t buy it, the world’s iron ore and oil will plummet. What’s even more annoying is that basically no terrorist activities dare to carry out in China.  ... America has become a hopeless country living on a huge dollar bubble... Vote for me, only I can save this bad America!

 Even the President of the United States sees China this way, why do we not love our motherland?  Chinese people, unite, fight for the rejuvenation of China, and build the Great Wall of Steel for the motherland!

  		*THE LAST LEG OF LIFE !!!*

Many of us are now in the last quarter of our life and should read this interesting piece of advice.  This is one of the nicest and most gentle articles I’ve read in a while: *NO politics, NO religion and NO racial issues* - just food for thought. 
 
You know, time has a way of moving quickly and catching you unaware of the passing years.
It seems just yesterday that I was young and embarking on my new life. Yet, in a way, it seems like years ago, and I wonder where all the years went ?
I know that I lived them all. 

I have glimpses of how it was back then and of all my hopes and dreams.
 
However, here it is, the last quarter of my life and it catches me by surprise !!!
How did I get here so fast ?? 
Where did the years go and where did my youth go??
 
I remember well, seeing older people through the years and thinking that those older people were years away from me and that I was only on the first quarter and that the fourth quarter was so far off that I could not visualise it or imagine fully what it would be like.
 
Yet, here it is !!! My friends are retired and getting grey, they move slower and I see an older person now.  Some are in better and some worse shape than me, but I see the great change. They’re not like the ones that I remember who were young and vibrant. But, like me, their age is beginning to show and we are now those older folks that we used to see and never thought we'd become.
 
Each day now, I find that just getting a shower is a real target for the day and taking a nap is not a treat anymore !!! It's mandatory because if I don't of my own free will, I fall asleep where I sit.
 
And so, now I enter into this new season of my life unprepared for all the aches and pains and the loss of strength and ability to go and do things that I wish I had done, but never did. At least now I know that, though I’m on the last quarter and I'm not sure how long it will last, that when it's over on this earth, it's all over. A new adventure will begin, I feel !!!
 
Yes, I have regrets.  There are things I wish I hadn't done; things I should have done, but truly there are many things I'm happy to have done.  It's all in a lifetime.
 
So, if you're not on the last quarter yet, let me remind you that it will be here faster than you think. So, whatever you would like to accomplish in your life do it quickly.
Don't put things off too long. Life goes by so quickly. 

So, do what you can today, as you can never be sure whether you're on the last quarter or not.
 
You have no promise that you will see all the seasons of life. So, live for today and say all the things that you want your loved ones to remember - and hope that they appreciate and love you for all the things that you have done for them in all the past years.
 
*’Life’* is a gift to you.  *BE HAPPY!!!*

Remember, it is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold, silver or printed notes or even property.

You may think:
 
Going out is good - but coming back home is much better!!!
 
You forget names - but it's okay because some people forgot they even knows you!!!
 
You realize, you are never going to be really good at anything like golf - but you like the outdoors. So, do it.  
 
The things you used to care to do, you aren't as interested in anymore - but, you really don't care that you aren't as interested.

You sleep better on a lounge chair with the TV on, than in bed – you call it *’pre-sleep’!!!* If you enjoy it, just do it.
 
You miss the days when everything worked with just an *’ON’* and *’OFF’* switch !!!
 
You tend to use more 4 letter words – *’what’* and *’when’.*

You have lots of clothes in your wardrobe, more than half of which you will never wear – but just in case !!
 
Old is good - 
• Old is comfortable.
• Old is safe.
• Old songs.
• Old movies.
• and - best of all,
• Friends of old !!!

So, stay well, ‘Old friend.’
Have a fantastic day.
